The Swedish Security and Defence Industry Association (SOFF) focuses on security and defence related products, and services in areas such as underwater, aerospace, maritime, cyber, societal security, total defence, export and space. SOFF strives to ensure that the industry is keen on adopting disruptive, commercial technologies. Hence, they work a lot with dual-use.
SOFF represents more than 100 companies with over 30,000 employees directly working with the defence sector. Alongside their network of institutions and academia, they initiate and facilitate regional and national clusters within different areas. Since, most of SOFF’s members are SMEs, they have a focus on activities to engage SMEs in defence businesses and many projects aim to benefit the SMEs.
Currently there are no regional clusters within Sweden, however SOFF is the connection to the national level.
