The regional dual-use organisation of Nouvelle Aquitaine is Agence de Développement et d’Innovation Aquitaine Limousin Poitou-Charentes.
Based in Pessac, France, the Agence de Développement et d’Innovation is a regional development and innovation agency whose activities are split between civil technologies (70%) and those in defence (30%).

Its dual-use activities range across advanced materials, aeronautics, aerospace, ICT, photonics and robotics. For example, the Agence de Développement et d’Innovation supports its region’s military aircraft and missile producers and France’s national nuclear energy agency.

The Agence de Développement et d’Innovation’s strategy targets civil aircraft and drones, as well as support to SMEs and links to the EU’s RIS3 concept of smart specialisation. It also has links to other regional clusters across Europe such as Seville’s A400M aeronautics technology cluster.
